You need a Bookkeeper. That’s why you’re here. But maybe you don’t really need a bookkeeper. Maybe you can Do It Yourself.
So you’re trying to figure out if I can help you. Probably.
I’ve been there. In fact, in the last business I ran, I hired my dad, a CPA, to do my books. I wanted him to help me translate the numbers so I’d know if I was profitable, if I could hire a project manager, if I could buy a new computer.
The uncertainty was killing me.
And since I was way too busy serving my clients, I didn’t have time to do it all myself. Did I have the knowledge and ability? At that time, probably enough to get by ok.
But I didn’t try. ‘Cause I knew that my bookkeeper would tell me what I needed to know.
I was right.
Not only did he help me out then, but the numbers grew more and more interesting. When I closed that business and began to work for a local company, helping them grow their business and standardize the procedures for several admin departments, I kept working with numbers, statistics, etc.
I seriously love them.
So if you are determined to DIY it, then take some advice from someone who’s been there, done that and explore this site for some great information on ensuring you’ve got your ducks in a row.
If you realize that you can’t do it all, let’s talk.
